One of the perks of being a student is getting student discounts!
Among the things I did after I got accepted to grad school was looking into the student discounts available. Between the costs associated with school, moving expenses, rent, and everyday life, I want to make my money stretch. These are the discounts I’ve personally used (or plan to) that are making student life a little more affordable.
PRO TIP: Bookmark this page — I update it whenever I discover a new student discount worth sharing.
Entertainment & Streaming
I’ve been using Spotify for years. I love having a soundtrack wherever I go and I’m quick to Shazam a song if I’m out and hear an amazing track I’m not familiar to. Getting Hulu as part of the Spotify Student offer is such a bonus.

Currently $5.99 for 12 months (as of June 2026). Peacock’s student discount used to be $1.99 a month — ugh, sigh— but now it’s $5.99 per month. I hesitated initially, given I signed up for the $1.99 offer the last year of my second bachelor’s program. I decided to go ahead and get it recently. I’m all caught up on Law & Order SVU and Chicago PD again, thanks to this.

News & Research
A great piece of advice shared at the Law School Admission Council Law Conference I attended in October 2025 is that one of the best ways to prepare for law school is to read, read, read. Read articles about the law; legal principles, cases, and rulings, to familiarize yourself with concepts and normalize consuming such content. These subscriptions are also great to get the latest in healthcare news and other current events.
